exact item shown, Weinsschel 4-step step attenuator, steps are 0, 3.6, 12, 24 dB, so you can go from 0 to 45 dB in 3-dB steps. My analyzer goes to 20 GHz, the display shows test data from 1 to 20 GHz. This is one of 3 good units, I'm listing them separately so you can look at the test data for each unit and see which one you like best. For this particular unit, I calibrated the analyzer so that 0 dB was a through connection without the device. Markers are at 1, 10, 20 GHz. The curves show you the general shape of the response, the markers show you the value at the three marked frequencies. The display is set to 10 dB per graduation. You can see that all steps are working. you can see a little increase in the attenuation at around 3.5 GHz. I didn't find any specs for these units, so these traces are what you have to go on. the photos (after the beauty shot at the start follow a regular sequence - first a closeup showing the serial number, then the test configuration, then the data, so the first analyzer plot shows no attenuation switched in, then 3 dB, then 6 dB and so on. the values at the markers will tell you attenuation at those frequencies., To operate, put 24-30 VDC to each of the gnd and + terminals (+ V to + of course). To insert attenuation, ground the upper terminal (dB) momentarily, and the selected attenuation value will latch. To remove the attenuation, momentarily ground the 0dB terminal. This particular unit is serial number A1832, the inspection seals are dated Dec 27 1991. I do not know what the AD (versus AF) at the start of the part number signifies.Note to me: serial number A1832, second black drawerI normally ship within 24 hours of your order, but the post office does not always initiate tracking when I put the packages in the drop off box.
